Are your fleshhooks up to the task?

Man Falls From Fleshhooks at Tattoo Expo

A man who was being hung by fleshhooks on Saturday during a exhibition at the 13th Annual Tattoo Expo was seriously injured when he fell to the ground onto the concrete.

The expo, at the Hilton, was packed with thousands of people when the accident occurred around 9 p.m., witnesses said. Fire Rescue confirmed the man, whose identity was not available, was trasported to a local hospital.

The popular expo is a fundraiser for Children's Hospital.

Suspension involves the insertion of hooks into a person's flesh, the number and spacing of the hooks determined by the person's weight. The individual is then raised up and swung back and forth as part of the show. The people involved in Saturday's suspension show had put on a similar show on Friday before large crowd without incident.

That is really strange. My wife has a saying, "No matter how weird it is, if it can be done, someone will do it."

I guess I can understand a piercing, but someone who actually wants to be hung by hooks has a serious self flagellation issue...

I think it has more to do with attention. They've already pierced and tattoo'ed themselves to "freak" status and people still won't give them the time of day, so what to do? I know! I'm gonna hang myself from a meat-hook!

Well...if no-one pays attention, you should try lighting them with a match!

Do the hooks have to be spaced one per acre as in the photo of the woman above? I would think there would have to be more than that to hang the entire body.

She's not suspended. I'd post pics of suspension, but I think the pics might be pulled. Do a Google search and you'll see plenty...

Oh, and before some wiseguy pipes up...

She probably couldn't get a crane with a large enough capacity. Nice suspension.

I'd like to see them fall on their heads! They already have brain damage, so what could be the problem?
