I'd prolly break my leg hiking those trails let alone on a unicycle. That bridge railing is just sick.

Yes, your right foot, and your left foot. Since your legs are directly attached to the wheel, to brake you just push "backwards"

My wife has a uni and rides a little bit, but she also is the mentor for the unicycle club at her school, some of the things they do are completely insane, and they're middle schoolers!

I rode one from about age 14, as a yell leader in high school, and into my 30's. Much less as time went on. That's probably what's wrong with my knees today. Those things are really tough. I rode a bicycle quite a bit as well for many years, but had to lay off more than a few dozen city blocks by the time I was 50. I'd still say the unicycle might have caused some damage. No surgery, yet.

The Unicycle as Art:

Wheel is a water meter ring

Spokes are copper wire

Metal seat is from an old bicycle

Axle and upright are from an old floor lamp.

Pedal pads are old, door hinges

Sits in our living room.
