You could always build an uber-nice turbo Subie-powered 914 for about 1/2 the cost of either. And probably eat BOTH 911s and Z06s all day long.

Sweet car for the street. Sounds neat, amazingly quick.
Very fast on the track, but not for long. I haven't been to a track day yet, where a 'Vette hasn't broken down on the track, and cost everyone track time.

They just seem to be very poorly put together, and of substandard quality materials...

As an example, a Z06 racing wheel broke on my last DE at Streets of Willow...

I guess we can assume there was plenty of grip with those R6's
