Anyone willing to help me create a .jpg?
Anyone willing to help me with setting up a .jpg. It will take some of your time as it's all text from scratch. I created a Word document but it only looks good on a 8.5X11 once I blow it up to a 46"wX34"h it's all jagged and doesn't look good. It's taking me a long time to figure this out (learning curve I suppose). Plus I can't get things to line up correctly. If you can help me without spending too much time on it I would appreciate it. PM me your email and I can send you my Word document so you can see what I'm asking and if you're willing to help me out.
Thanks in advance.... ![]()

Have you tried making the file a PDF? Then you can scale the document as big as you want and the text will remain crisp.
Good Luck, Michael

Any reason why you can't copy the text onto another doc and change the font size to match a larger paper size?
Text should be scalable. If you turn this into a bitmap (jpeg format), the pixels will show when you enlarge. Not so if you use type with the correct pt size. Open a word doc and configure your printer to Adobe PDF ver. xx, use paper size AO (35x49), then set the type size accordingly. Try 72 pt Times to start. That should get you close. As for printing this PDF doc, you'll have to find a properly sized plotter. Sherwood |

I haven't tried a .pdf. I just have the reader. I can see if I can get a hold of a full version where I can create one.
I wouldn't mind keeping it in word and making it there but it won't let me resize my page setup to more then 22". What am I doing wrong here? If I can create it in Word how would I get it to a .PDF? Can't I just print to it?

'Open Office' has a PDF conversion utility.
I believe it's a free download. KT

Not sure about how it works for Word for Windoz. "Word is the complete wrong tool for this. " If Word can't do it, you're correct. InDesign or Quark may be more flexible in this regard. BTW, I opened InDesign (CS3) and was able to configure any paper size. Sherwood |

Thanks for all the help and advice from everyone. I downloaded that 'Open Office' and it seemed to do the trick. I created it in there with my dimensions and exported it out to a .pdf. I have to correct spelling and grammar, but it looks like I'm off and running. Thanks again!
