Firefox 3 / Vista freezing issues
Anyone else get this? My laptop will completely freeze occasionally when running FF3.01. And I mean freeze, no response from anything and I have to power-off.
Bueller?

I would guess something else is going on. I run Vista and the latest Firefox on several rigs with no issues.
Looks like its time for some house cleaning. Adaware Spybot S&D Virus checks Figure out what is running in the background causing FF issues

I'll tell you the same thing I always say. Ccleaner registry scan is the best piece I've seen for issues like you are dealing with. Slodave says it did nothing for him. It seems to do pretty well for everybody else.

I have used CC for a couple years now. I've never had it solve any issues but it's a nice housekeeping tool.

Have you run the registry scan recently?

Click the blue icon, click scan, then click fix issues. Your problem will likely go away.

Hijack this is for space cadets. Registry scan comes up clean & FF still locks up?

My laptop is in my truck, I'll go run it and report back but I'm pretty sure it's fine.

OK, a few unused items from installs were there. I'll let you know.

Mule, registry cleaners/fixers as a whole do not solve problems. More often, they will cause other problems. All they can do is scan for dead ends in the registry. No possible way that any registry program can know what program needs what entries in the registry and what switches they need to run.
As for HiJackThis, it is obvious you have no clue as to purpose or how to properly use it.

So you've said. You also said that Malwarebytes didn't fix your system, although your screen shot said otherwise. But when I watch problems get fixed, repeatedly, your statement just doesn't hold water. Hijack this is top of the heap among propellerheads. But it's the long way home for most issues.

The 'propellerheads' are the ones that fix computers day to day, you, do not. I have clients faulty APC, should I run ccleaner on it?
