Last chance for the few stubborn Audi lovers

Going on Craigs list and local papers this week. Probably will list for around $7000.

2000 A6 2.7T Quattro
135k mileage
premium sound with 6 disk changer
front/rear heated seats
Auto trans
Ming Blue
Very nice interior, perfect seats
power/memory drivers seat

Eibach Pro-Kit lowered suspension
18" wheels
recent timing belt and rollers
recent water pump and thermostat
recent valve cover gaskets
recent serpentine belt
recent front brakes
recent synthetic oil change
recent fuel pump
somewhat recent new Audi trans oil and filter
somewhat recent Audi power steering fluid
somewhat recent upper control arms

Runs/drives perfect. Has evap emission fault code (has been that way for 40k miles). Falken Tires will probably need replaced prior to winter.

As most of you all know I am done with b@stard.... Way too hard to work on except maybe for a few of you diehard Audi fans.

To add some celebrity cache, this vehicle was previously owned and driven by Lendaddy and his beautiful wife. I will sign the glove box and supply a letter of authenticity to the winning bidder.

Just a question, but can you actually sell it? You can't sell a car public, or private with a CEL on in my state.

I bought it that way from Lendaddy No problem to sell it here. I cleared it with my VagCom, but it comes right back and has something to do with some sort of evaporative emission BS buried somewhere in the fuel filler/tank vent system.

You're going to have to get an unlisted number, your phone will be ringing off the hook once all the audi faithful here get wind of this.

Yea, just curious. My brother got in a bit of trouble here in Colorado over that, he had to pay for the guys repair, was a mess.

It had that damn evap loss code when I bought it and still had it when I sold it. I chased the bastard for a few weeks and gave up.

There is no issue with selling a car with a CEL in Michigan and I imagine only our few nanny states get involved in the type of micromanagement.

Did you have to smog the car in Mich?

CEL is emissions related, I'd think that most states with smog aren't going to pass it with CEL on.

Nope, no smog checks in Michigan.

I think you're right, we have a nasty emissions system here, same folks that run the one in Cali I think, "Envirotest" major "nanny" system. We are very strict, I fear that someday one of these roadside vans is going to pickup my 911 and I'm going to be in real trouble.

I would have never guessed that, I thought they had all sources of govt revenue covered.

Just think of how many iPods you could buy for the elementary schools with that money!

Advertise it in Florida. People drive here with small engine fires burning at times. No emission-nazis here.

Don't be fooled, Tim just doesn't have the tools or ability to work on it.

I kept telling Tim if he was serious about working on it, he would have to splurge for a set of metric wrenches, but he wouldn't listen.
