National Polling Data -- Now updated with USA Today
The statisticians are indicating that any "bounce" from the RNC will be fully manifested by the Tuesday daily trackers.
Just in case your interested: The Rasmussen Reports- McCain 46, Obama 46 in first full poll after Palin speech http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll Zogby- The McCain/Palin ticket wins 49.7% support, compared to 45.9% backing for the Obama/Biden ticket, this latest online survey shows. Another 4.4% either favored someone else or were unsure. http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1548 Gallup- McCain’s 48% share of the vote ties for his largest since Gallup tracking began in early March. He registered the same level of support in early May. This is also McCain’s largest advantage over Obama since early May, when he led by as much as six percentage points. Obama has led McCain for most of the campaign, and for nearly all of the time since clinching the Democratic nomination in early June. http://www.gallup.com/poll/110050/Gallup-Daily-McCain-Moves-Ahead-48-45.aspx USA TODAY- McCain leads Democrat Barack Obama by 50%-46% among registered voters, the Republican's biggest advantage since January and a turnaround from the USA TODAY poll taken just before the convention opened in St. Paul. Then, he lagged by 7 percentage points. http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-09-07-poll_N.htm

I wonder if these polls are weighted to consider the number of folks who say they'll vote for Obama, but once behind the curtain, will not vote for a black man. Seems to me a LOT of folks support Obama solely out of white guilt and I doubt that's a huge motivator once one is in total privacy.
