Have you ever been to a "gentleman's" club?

I am alway fascinated by peoples paradigms...

I was out last night with an old friend who I have known since forth grade (we are now in our 50's.

He was a little miffed when our cute little twenty something waitress started calling him "pops".

So he starts in with "screw this, next time let's meet at a strip club" at which point he pulls a card out of his pocket from a nearby club that has all the happy hour drink specials etc.

Then our little waitress shows up and asks him what he is showing me and a whole silly circus of teasing and joking ensued.

After that he looks at me and asks:

"Do you know any adult male that hasn't been to a strip club?"

I started thinking and then he added.

"Except our dad's."

I kept thinking and I told him "Yeah... yeah I'm pretty sure there are a lot of adult males that have not been to strip clubs."

I can't speak for myself because when this same friend turned twenty one guess where we all went for the party. I went a few more times with him but it was really not my kind of entertainment so it has been decades since i have set foot in such a joint.

Out of curiosity I thought I would post a poll.

Never been at this point. Its too damn expensive to look at half naked chicks and get nothing out of it. I can go to the bars or a party and spend less money and increase my chances of having a good time exponentially.

it has been a long time since...

no better clubs than in el paso texas. i have two friends that still live there. EVERYTIME i show up to town, they use me as a reason to bail on the wives' to "buy me beer and burritos". we always go to the clubs. the debauchery is over the top. i typically pay for beers, and sit back while the guys push the envelope with the "extra twenty". the proximity to the border, allows foreign talent to commute over for work. those two quick draw mother effers are usually ready for home in about an hour. they go home no more than $100 lighter.

i dont like the "waste of wood".

No Poll shown yet, but I've been to a few. First time the famous Palomino Club in Vegas. Second was my bachelor party at a place called Harvey's in Riverside/Elsinore area. Third time was while I was in Memphis on business, the locals decided we needed some stress relief. The girls in Memphis were drop dead gorgeous and lap dances were the norm. I don't believe any contact is allowed in CA or NV.

Been 3 times to one - once for a batchelor's party (not mine), once to scout for a friends BP, and the third for his actual BP.

i've been to tons of them. Some for bachelor parties (including my own in Toronto), sometimes just blowing off work and heading there with the boss. A GF wanted to go once and so I took her to Camelot in DC. She had the time of her life, stuffing bills in the ladies' g-strings, telling them how gorgeous they were. It was a hoot to watch. I also ran into the guy who bought my old Carrera that night in the men's room. When I lived in Pittsburgh, most of the tittie bars were BYOB. So we'd bring a case of Piel's or Schaefer pounders and have a blast.

Those places are depressing for many different reasons. Except for the Camelback Lounge in Phoenix 25 years ago; that was fun. What a bunch of trashy ladies and a seedy clientele. "And introducing 'Sonya, I wanna Bone Ya.'"

Went to a few, didn't make a lot of sense to pay money to let women tease me. Can find plenty of that without going to a strip club.

i worked across the street from a strip club a few years back. i'd be going out to get my lunch about the time the girls were showing up for the first shift. not very appetizing in broad daylight. i have a few friends now who like to go to places like the clown room. i go, but don't really see the point. i can get cock teased by women for free elsewhere.

When I used to go to Knoxville a lot there was "The Mouse's Ear" and "Bambi's Last Chance."

Never been, even in my single days. I always figured I could get drunk and teased by women (better looking ones) much cheaper somewhere else. I wouldn't go today, it wouldn't be worth the crap I'd take from the wife.

I wasn't sure how to answer. I bartended at strip joints for almost 5 years. But before that, I'd only been 3 times, and since then, I've not been once. I'm 38.

Oh, I think that calling them "gentlemen's clubs" is a joke, they are all "tittie bars" or "nudie bars". The difference is how much you pay for cover and maybe how hot the chicks are.

If you spend enough time in them, you discover that really they are where every vice there is comes to play.
