1 Possible Ground hog: OMG! see pic 2 Field mice and or Voles: confirmed 3 Rabbits: Confirmed How do I attack and kill with extreme prejudice? Here is what i think are Field mice or Voles..lots of critter trails leading into holes like this. ![]() Here is what I think is a rabbit warren...I saw babies last year come out of a hole this size. ![]() And saving the best for last, i haven't mowed the lawn in 3 weeks or more, went to the shed. I saw earlier this year my concrete pad crumbling , i thought it was Rain washing out the soil...till i found this pile of dirt. Ground HOG???? ![]() This thing has moved 4" chunks of concrete. ![]() ![]() I Guess living under the Shed isn't good enough anymore.

Yup, that last one is a woodchuck/ground hog, depending on where you live. We trap most of our pests but you might consider using baits/poisons depending on your situation. And keep a .22 handy in case you see it.

Just putting a few ones out there isn't gonna do it; they're pretty greedy.

If you're gonna try to bribe them into leaving and going next door, I'd suggest fives or tens... and a note explaining yourself.

I would try a leg hold trap for the woodchuck and some big rat traps for the other holes. chain the traps in the ground to keep the varmint from dragging them into the holes to die. While shooting them is always good, the traps will be on duty 24/7.

Well, they're not going after the money or the hand tools, so they can't be jewish or quaker. Maybe they're catholic, in which case a glass of whiskey might do the trick?

Or you can piss in the hole. Mark your territory, they HATE that. I do it with chipmunks around my foundation. They move out quick.

you can trap and or kill them but the real problem is that you have habitat that they like

that means new ones will move in soon! if you can think of some way of eliminating what they like in your land that will fix it permanently. what are they eating? do you have a vege. garden? big compost pile? a pet weasel and badger will make them feel unwelcome with a vengeance. |
