trying to identify a song-please help

On the TV commercials for the FreeStyle lite glucose meters they have an old 70s song in the background. I can't identify it, but it takes me back to the days. I'd like to download for my ipod. I did a google search, but couldn't find it. Any of you 70s/80s guys know what it is? Thanks, yeah, I know it's stupid.

Talking about 70's songs, I remember when I was a kid I would hear this one guy playing a song from his house while I was walking to and from my friends house. Now when I say I heard it everday, I am not kidding, this guys must have worn the vinyl out. It was a semi slow song and I think there is a beatle/Paul McCartney song that reminds me of it, but I know it is not it.... the one that has the part "Open the door let me in..." well anyway, would like to hear that song today, just to figure out what was so special about it....

I had the coolest leisure suit, light blue with a bright flowered polyester shirt with a huuuuge collar. And Dark blue stitching. Cuffs were turned back of course, with platform oxfords.

Doesn't get any cooler than that.
