Go USC!!!

Oh, wait a second.......:D Ok, let the excuses begin. How did the "best USC team ever/best team ever/best team in the country" just get spanked by OSU? No, not THAT OSU, Oregon State University.

Great game, very much worth staying up until midnight to watch. Now, we might actually get a year without Ohio State OR USC in the title hunt! My fingers are crossed, but Ohio State being embarassed by USC who was then embarassed by that OTHER OSU doesn't help either. Furthermore, they both have seriously weak schedules. Hopefully that's enough to torpedo them in the BCS. Please...........

Get to break out this annual post a little early this year for USC football:

I expected it to be a blowout and didnt check the score until halftime. I'm glad I caught the rest.

When they missed the extra point I thought SC had a way to win.

RWebb 09-26-2008 08:55 AM

how? - the Beav's were totally revved up

important life advice:
do not mess with an angry Beaver

a great victory

onewhippedpuppy 09-26-2008 09:03 AM

Yup. USC came into that game thinking they would walk away with it, because they're USC. OSU had other plans. Those guys played like they wanted to win, period.

Porsche-O-Phile 09-26-2008 09:04 AM

You can't spell "suck" without "U", "S" and "C".

Go Beavers!

Jim Richards 09-26-2008 09:04 AM

I think it's our duty to mess around with beavers, whether angry, glad, hairy, shaved, whatever. Just skip the fishy ones and bug-infested ones.

Ya gots ta slap that cratch reel gud.

rouxroux 09-26-2008 09:34 AM

Those Beavers were mad hot!;)

MOMO3.2 09-26-2008 12:05 PM

Man, that was quite an exciting football contest to watch!

Oregon State absolutely dominated USC in the first half. The level of intensity and the speed that Oregon State displyed was stunning. The Trojans were simply outmatched by the Beavers. That was the epitome of what makes college football so wonderful. IMO, one would rarely if ever see that level of intensity in the NFL.

Rock on you feisty Beavers!

Mike

so the Trojans failed to penetrate the Beaver defense?

Jim Richards 09-26-2008 01:12 PM

A big hole opened up in the Trojan's defense.

RWebb 09-26-2008 03:03 PM

knew the u sck alums would show up eventually

Everybody likes an underdog who beats the best. Don't take it personally sammy. USC football is no different than Duke basketball. Most everybody wants them to lose.

What's wrong with Pete Carroll anyway? He himself physically looks like shiat this year.....

MOMO3.2 09-27-2008 07:21 AM

Pete did look kind of cruddy on game day. It looked like he had a big herpes sore on his lip too. I kind of felt sorry for him during the interviews.

I guess one should expect these kinds of things when you are messin around with the Beavers.

Wow. #1, 3 and 4 get whacked.

Is this basketball season?

I think I see Vandy and Kentucky at the top of the SEC East, both unbeaten and 2/3rds of the way to a bowl game.

The SEC dominance has taken a hit this week. That's just a guess, who knows where the tea leaves fall come Monday, but Oklahoma looks to be #1, Missouri becomes #2 on an off week, and Texas slides in at #3 after LSU's weak performance against, well how should I classify the MSU team, pretty weak comes to mind. It's a long season though.

krichard 09-27-2008 09:09 PM

I see it OU #1 LSU #2. I'd be surprised to see texas better than #5 this early. I am glad to see UT kicking ass but it's way too early to tell yet.

Jagshund 09-27-2008 09:11 PM

That was the best PAC-10 game I've ever watched . . . okay, it was only the second PAC-10 game that I've watched, but it was still great. As for myself, I think Auburn is going to ride our . . . um . . . dominate offense to the title game. We can score points so quickly the scorekeepers lose track and end up not putting them on the board . . . that 14-12 victory over the Vols today was really something like 40-12. Yeah. Our offense ROCKS.

No way. Did you catch who LSU played today? Miss State, a team that can't even get out of their own shadow, and LSU allowed 24 points? Texas kind of has to be #4 at worst. Both the Sooners and Wronghorns have a rude awakening when Tech comes around.

Anywho, Alabama is a better football team than LSU, and deserves a rank higher.

Go Dores!
