Paul was an instructor at the SCCA drivers schools I attended at Nelsons Ledges in 1976. He was a class person and a great instructor. He always remembered me and had time to talk about racing and cars whenever I saw him after that set of schools. I am proud that he signed off on my logbook and that I could consider him a friend.

He was always welcoming to all who wanted to treat him like another racer but if you even mentioned anything to do with Hollywood or the movies he would warn you once and ban you from his area of the paddock thereafter if you didn't heed the warning.

Fast laps to you Pal, hit all the apexes! You will be missed!
