*****SPOILER***** F1 Singapore Race
What a great race. Nice to see the "old dog" on the podium. I thought the circuit & the night drive were incredible. When they did the driver's view cameras it felt like a video game view.
And Ferrari really, really blew it on that hose/release issue. And then Kimi . . . well . . . what can you say. This year's F1s just get better & better. Ian

Well, for once the Safety Car helped FA instead of playing against him. It was luck that made him win, although he managed to keep a good race pace.
I wonder when will Ferrari realize and sign him instead of Kimi or Massa. |

Great Race. Nice to see yet another different winner
When will Ferrari realize that their electronic lollipop is not the way to go? Massa must be so pissed as the race was his.

Brilliant two hours of suspense! Too bad its not always how the driver is that decides the outcome, but technical random events and right out blunt cock-ups. Never the less, thats the game and very exciting at that!

My Tivo cut out at the start of the last lap! Arrgh! I had to go on the web...but it was just to confirm Alonso's win.
Definitely a great race. Looks like the teams were really enjoying Singapore too. All except Ferrari. ugh! There was no good reason for Kimi to crash out....I think he just got bored. I'm a Kimi fan, but I'm really starting to think this guy is having marriage problems or something...'cuse he head is not in the race! And poor Massa. That fueling hose was a total technical ***** up by the equipment. Kinda make one wonder if they should just get rid of the lights. I wonder if Las Vagas US GP (hmmm) won't be a night race. Imagine that...Vagas night life and F1! |

Agreed ... great race and venue but they need to do some track reconfiguring before next year.
The radio transmission from Alonso's team in the midst of all the chaos about them "... not knowing what the h#@ll is going on and they just need him to drive fast ..." was classic. Also amazing was that after sitting there idling for 30+ seconds at the end of the pit lane before his mechanics even got to him that Masa's engine lasted the entire race. It would be interesting to see a temperature reading to know just how hot it got. My guess is that Kimi was already focusing on the parties set for that night ![]() Looks like it is Lewis' championship to lose.

![]() Yeah...probably not going to happen in Vagas night...but it would be very cool. I would think Vagas could be the place to give Bernie top dollars for the commercial rights....and if Bernie gets top dollars....maybe Vagas commerce will convince him to do a night race so the Europeans will be the ones staying up late to watch it live for a change. I'd take a few days off of work to go to a Vagas F1 race. |

Kimi was fastest man on the track again. There can be no doubt Kimi is the fastest driver in F1, all he needs is more experience. After all this is only the 156? car races in his career. Nascar drivers get that much experience in four years. I wonder if FA could race with a fuel hose attached. Didn't you see Massa drive away from the field. I did. You can't blame Massa for the pit foul-up

Ham Bone has thrown it away before. I don't doubt he can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again. At least that my hope..

I feel sorry for Massa. He's been snakebitten by technical problems this year. He was the class of the field today when that stupid system ****ed him again

Nice race for FA. Luck is a part of it, but he is always pushing and that makes him a true racer.
Still think Hamilton is the most talented driver in the field, but F1 is getting sillier each year and canceled my trip to the Shanghai CP (even with free Amber Lounge tickets)... Instead going to Beijing for the Peking duck..... ![]() Oh yeah, the night race was great. I really hope the US gets a night race. VEGAS would be awesome at night!! What the heck, lets do it in Long Beach!!

Last year Hamilton lost China because his team screwed up the tyre situation and in Brazil his gearbox misteriously stopped working for 45 seconds... just enough to put him 1 point below the amount needed for the championship. How is it different from the engine blowing up for Massa or Ferrari screwing a pit stop? I feel for Massa yesterday. He was clearly on a class of his own. |

In China, Hamster drove the tyres off his car. The team had nothing to do with that. If you recall, no one else had an early tyre issue not even FA. Same car same tyre, no issue. In the highest levels of racing, tyre management is the drivers responsibility. As for Brazil, the mysterious gear box trouble was Mclaren covering for Ham Bone selecting the wrong button. Driver error after driver error cost Ham Bone the championship not outside forces. Truly a great rookie year but not because of the all powerful all knowing Hamster. Credit Ron Dennis seeing Bone Head won't. As for most talented drive, where are all the fast laps in Hamsters career? If I'm not mistaken historically great drivers rack up fast laps even in an inferior car. One last thing, Ferrari isn't loosing because of some "trascendent issues with an evil force that is conspiring against Ferrari". They are loosing because of mental errors mixed with some bad luck.. Last year it was Mclaren and this year it's Ferrari.

Agreed. The departure of Ross Brawn and JT was a huge blow to Ferrari. More than MS (if you can even say that) RB and JT were the reason for Ferrari past success. Stefano Domenicali albeit a nice person does not have the experience nor the charisma of his predecessors. |

Hamilton has certainly shown he's not infallable. This year he made 3 big mistakes. The first in Canada, then in Magny Court, when overtaking Vettel cutting the chicane without yielding the place back and Spa (even if I think the stewards' decision was a farce Hamilton was clearly faster and he should have just waited the next corner). But he also has shown that he's one of the few that can actually overtake in F1. I agree with you when you say that Kimi is the fastest driver in F1. But to be the best you need to be constant and be able to overtake. Kimi just gets lulled into following the guy in front. His fastest laps this year have all come when the race was decided. Right now I think Lewis is a better driver. As per Massa he's super when he's in front. I mean NOTHING could touch him yesterday. And this season we have seen him do it several times. But when he's not leading he seems to get his wings clipped. Yesterday he spent 3/4 of the race in 16-15th position. Not one overtaking manouvre. Hamilton risked his 4th place to overtake DC. |

Thankfully McLaren are also hindered by two drivers who share similar weaknesses. It would be interesting to imagine where McLaren would be if they had retained FA with or without LH....my guess is they would already have the Constructors Championship wrapped up.... |
