I noticed gas prices yesterday. $3.44 gallon for regular.. someone 'splain me something.. we build the jackets, platforms and rigs right here in my town. we build the barges, the supply boats and lift barges right here. we build the blow out preventors and stacks right down the road a bit we build the valves and christmas trees to control the wells, we build the ROV's and provide the divers. we have one of the biggest service boat companies "Tidewater Marine" in the world right here among others. we have Oceaneering International and other major dive companies, we have Cameron Iron Works for the subsea stuff. McDermott built the biggest platform in the world just 15 miles from me. Haliburton and BJ Hughes. the very first offshore well was drilled here on the very first offshore platform which is still here... offshore drilling started right here on our city docks. everything is oilfield related one way or another and has been since the begining.. Louisiana handles alot of oil and oil production. why is it that after we find it, drill it, barge or pipe it in, refine it and send it across the country... you guys pay less for gas over there than we do?

Saw the weirdest thing today at the Calabasas exit off the 101 near Malibu the price at an Exxon/Mobil was $4.79 for regular, and right across the freeway at a Union 76 it was $3.49 both for regular, weird.

Hey Johnco, how you doing? Health is OK? I wish I had another show going to Morgan City, but I don't. Actually, that's probably a good thing. I wouldn't want to have to show you up again. Take care brother! Come to El Aye for a visit, I've got a room for yah!

Johnco, I will take the risk to tell you to lighten up a bit, all that has been heard before, yada yada.. Try to add a little, not a add a load of whatever. No one wants to hear that. We all are disappointed from time to time, maybe even really ticked, but just to unload lines of no value added is no value added.

I just drove back from Reno to Kentucky over the last few days. Mostly the price was around $2.99 a gallon with the cheapest along the highway being $2.47 around Kansas City, Mo.

The lower price of gas really helped the budget driving a heavy truck 2,300 miles.

Where about in Kentucky? I'm in Lexington, if you should ever want to meet up/hang out for drinks and chit-chat. Haven't met any KY Pelicans yet.

edit: To stay on topic, I paid $2.68 the other day in the middle of Lexington, KY.
