Pacman: "Would you like fries with that?"

Those will be the next words out of this idiot's mouth.

Jerry Jones needs to figure out that once a thug, always a thug. The only good news is that the deal was so lopsided in the Cowboy's favor that all they will lose is the salary they have paid him. They get their 4th rounder back. In other news, it looks like the Cowboys have completed a deal for Detroit's WR Roy Williams! This one I am excited about, the guy is a stud WR and a game breaker and he is young. The Cowboys have needed a future #1 WR for a while now and Patrick Crayton ain't it. Now if they can just win 2/3 with Brad Johnson at the helm...

I no fan of Pacman, I think he's a punk. But, he didnt break the law, was arrested and no one was hurt. I think the NFL is going a little far with the new conduct policy.

Pac man doesn't look much like a shut-down corner any more. I think that year off for going to the "scrip" club really was "period, point blank, the dumbest decision of my life".

Oh, and why are the Cowboys trying to keep TO happy? They should be pounding the ball with Barber and Jones. Having Romo getting flushed out of the pocket and "improvising" is not a good offense. Defenses are doubling up on TO and teeing off on the Cowboys' suspect O-line. Pound the ball with Marion Barber to keep the defenses honest and then dump it off to Witten when TO isn't open. Getting Roy Williams would be GREAT!!

You can only go to the Barber well so often - the sort of energy that guy puts out could light up a town but he ain't atomic and sump'ns gonna give. TO has been a joy and a disappointment. If Williams comes over things will start looking good.

Looks like Roy is going to be a Cowboy!!

"On the same afternoon that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell trumped Jerry Jones' speedy internal investigation of last week's Pacman Jones incident with an indefinite suspension, the Cowboys' owner engineered a dramatic trade for Detroit Lions wide receiver Roy Williams. ESPN's Ed Werder first reported that the deal was close to being consummated, and the Cowboys have now confirmed it. It sounds as if Jones fought hard to keep his first-round pick, but in a rare "victory" for Lions management, they finally talked him out of it. The Cowboys gave up a first-round draft choice, a third and a sixth in exchange for Williams and the Lions' seventh-round pick in 2009. At a time when the Cowboys appeared to be imploding with the loss of starting quarterback Tony Romo for three games and the suspension of Pacman, the trade for Williams might provide the spark they need to regroup as a team."

I'm glad the Cowboys got Williams.. I thought they should have drafted him.

I also find the suspension of Jones stupid. It is all based on hearsay, no one other than Jones and the bodyguard truly know what happened. Goodell shouldn't single out Jones he needs to go after the other players that have had trouble with the law recently: Marvin Harrison in Indy, Matt Jones in Jax and Larry Johnson in KC all spring to mind. Where are their suspensions?

I am no Cowboy fan by any stretch, (Steeler fan here, aren't we mortal enemies?

). They got what they deserved in Adam Jones, a thug in the 3rd degree. As far as Williams goes... a great pickup. That is until Owens starts whining about getting the ball even less. I'll stick with character and talent vs. thuggery, prima donas, & talent.

How do you think TO feels about sharing even more spotlight at his position? An unhappy TO can destroy a team. - D. McNabb

According to Jerry, TO was "ecstatic" when he heard they were getting Roy.

Think of it this way. As it sits now, TO gets double covered about 70% of the time. Patrick Crayton is a solid receiver, but no one has to change a defensive plan to stop Crayton. They double TO or Witten and single cover Crayton. Replace Crayton with Roy Williams and you can get smoked doing that. So, I think TO will see less double coverage and thus be able to make more plays than before.

As for Pac-Man, who really cares? He's been given more chances than he deserves, throw his ass out on the street where he apparently wants to be anyway. If millions of dollars can't keep the guy from making it rain in the clubs, nothing will. He's been playing pretty mediocre anyway.

Al davis is currently pettitioning the NFL to allow Pacman to sign with the raiders, where by comparison he's seem well-behaved.
