It's true, the carbon-black M3 looks dusty all the time, even though I was washing it at least once a week during the summer when I was home (and it only got driven in good weather, at least then).

So true. My E36 325i was black, and looked clean for about 5 minutes after I washed it. Then it got dusty..... The dark green 540 was almost as bad.

There are few colors that look better than black when clean, but it's a damn nightmare to keep that way. Then you have swirl marks and scratches, which are exponentially more visible on a black car. I did it once, never again.

White and silver are by far the best colors for looking clean when dirty, at least in my experience. Tan might be good too, the dirt would just blend in.

I'd have to vote for silver as the best color to not look dirty. It just changes from light silver to various increasingly darker shades of grey.

I have a black car right now. But because I don't care about its appearance, its dirtiness doesn't really bother me unless I can't see out the windows.

Bahhh, I do pretty well with my Diamondschwarz E30. A good detail in spring/fall, and no towel drying in the winter keeps the swirls away. But I hear ya, still a challenge. I suspect black would be even more difficult. But....it's black

Of course he does, since it's not a good time for me right now. I bet it has a black interior as well (sigh)?

He's not really in a hurry to sell it. He's patiently shopping for an E46 M3, but does not need to sell the Benz first. Yes black interior. The car's weak spot is that it has a few small dings. A good PDR would take care of them though.

The C43 is an awesome car for the money. So long as the ATF has been changed regularly, they're pretty much without fault. With 35k, the ATF wouldn't even be a worry.
