Swedish Saturday Night Pediatricians Party

Greeting my fellow Americans!

I will just let you know that I am in a superb spirit. The last weeks I have been in charge of the pediatric ward with the small children, 0-2 years old. At this time of year its been completely over crowded with small babies suffering from the RS virus. Most of them are between a couple of weeks and three months old. They have severe breathing difficulties and need help with feeding. Lighting a match is not recommended with all the oxygen delivered to the little babies.

Anyway its been a very hectic week but I am very satisfied. One of the nurses told me yesterday I had been "superb with the kids and their moms". So good to hear when you give all you have for those little ones.

So I figured, comes Saturday its time to relax. Got a party going. Lots of drinks blended from medical alcohol and some very good local south Swedish music.

Cheers to all you my friends! Have a drink and turn up the volume. The song is about two friends burning their own moon shine. Its local, Swedish version of red neck and just really swinging, after a couple of pints.

Hey Markus, enjoy! No doubt you've earned it! It's only mid-afternoon here in the eastern time zone, so I think if I virtually joined you I would be a complete mess by dinner time

I just finished vacuuming the upstairs after replacing the toilet seat cover. WOOHOO!!!!

I'm glad to hear you are feeling good, Markus. I know that you had ben a little down as of recent times. A pat on the back every now and again feels good, especially in your profession.

Have fun, my Swedish friend!!!!

Mark, I knew things were going well for you when I read, "Greetings my fellow Americans!" It's about time we heard something upbeat from you. Party on!

Heya Markus! So glad your week ended well. I know you were having happy hour when I first logged on about twelve hours ago, so with any luck, you are either still partying or are all partied out IN A GOOD WAY!

Being in Alabama, I have a special affinity for "redneck" music - thanks so much for sharing your version - funny how it sounds redneck even tho I don't understand a word of it. We don't hear much accordian in Alabama redneck music, gives a kind of polka-feel that is more common in the northern US (hello Pennsylvania I'm talkin to you!).

Anyway if you hadn't passed out before, this post will surely get you there. CHEERS!

One possible cure is to stop drinking!

Nah, that's too extreme.

Pedialyte and plenty of water. You should have access to lots of that.

I hold off eating or drinking anything until early afternoon.
Then a big greasy double bacon cheese burger and a couple of beers....
Gotta get that grease base back in your gut!
Thank goodness I don't have to use this much these days. I can barely stay awake past 10 PM.
Think I will indulge in a beer right now! It is 12:19...
