GPS Units - Prices are really dropping

Was just looking over at Amazon for these. Can't believe how much prices have dropped in the last year. So now I am thinking of getting one. Anyone on here really pleased with one they have?

yes. i am pleased w/lowrance. full size screen color is da shizzzz-ninny! small screens suck unless space limited.

about 350-400 baja 1000 various classes rely on them.

I was in the market, then decided to try VZNavigator on my BB...I really like it and scuttled my plans to buy a separate unit.

Just a thought.

My dad blames power steering and automatic transmissions for "dumbing down" driving.

These things only make it worse.

I just picked up a Tom Tom,, $50 cheaper than the same Garmin unit.. Also $50 cheaper than the model that "speaks" the street name ( turn right on Main Street vs turn right in 200 yards).. So I paid $199 for the large 4 inch sceen model..

And yes these things suck your brain dry one cell at a time,, I can't back out of the driveway without it...

11 months ago, I paid $139 for "refurbished" Garmin Quest from; www.edgegps.com
Refurbished means someone bought, opened the box, couldn't figure out how to use it and returned it. It's like new, with full warranty, accessories and manual.

I like the Qwest as it fits in the pocket when I'm on a snowmobile or dirtbike. Battery last up to 20 hrs and then recharges when you put it back in your car, streetbike, whatever....Luv it for the price.......

My garmin came with the tires I put on the XJR, I already run Conti tires, it was time to replace them and got a free GPS
