Maybe some day I'll mount a heated 911 side mirror in there.

I have a cheap plasticy coated mirror. I douse it liberally in the hot water for 20 seconds, and it'll hold the heat long enough to shave. If it starts to fog, I repeat. I've tried the drop of soap method, but it does tend to make it blurry.

Try getting your mirror as warm as the water, and it won't fog.

Interesting that even though I'm the same vintage as many of you I never got into the habit of shaving in the shower, I always shave first then shower.

Am I the only one using a old twin (one blade on each side) blade safety razor?

I always wanted to try a straight razor but those things scare the crap out of me!

milt you need to buy a magic eraser and keep it in the shower to clean the mirror periodically.

You guys that mention Dr. Bronners. Is that the all natural soap with peppermint oil?
I always shave in the shower with one of those 5 blade vibrating fusion razors. I use the fusion gel as well. Works just fine for me. I have a little cheap walmart mirror and I just warm it with the water good and it doesnt fog. My father is one of those never used a razor in his life guys. I have never seen a picture of him since he was about 18 that he didnt have a full beard. In fact he didnt take one promotion because it would have required him to shave. I pretty much taught myself to shave b/c he really couldnt offer much advice.

Oh btw the is anybody else doing No Shave November. My last shave was Oct. 31 and Im gettin pretty rough loooking by now.

Nivea work great for me....just before the shower to help to calm down the skin.

I use ONLY the Art of Shaving stuff with the Gillette Fusion 5-blade razor. I know this probably sounds horribly metrosexual (which I'm most certainly not), but it's one of my few indulgences. I actually really LOVE the shaving experience with these products. They work great!
