going out of my mind in roanoke
Company sent me to a 2 week school in Roanoke, Va. Iam slowly going crazy. I need a major diversion. Any suggestions?

If Ya have a car there are lots of good roads there. I blow through there several times a year. Just sit back, enjoy the quiet (if you are in one of those areas)

Go find the Blueridge parkway and go south.
On the weekends, you'll find some vineyards. If you are willing to drive up 81 to Front Royal, there is a VERY good vineyard called Linden. When I used to hang in Roanoke, the ONLY decent club was the Marriot. Of course, this was 1988...But it was hot and so were the cuties! I think they have re-done the downtown area with a bar scene, which didn't exist when I was last there.

There are some decent hangouts downtown. Caught a good live music act at the Corned Beef earlier this year. Cute women as well.
The countryside is very scenic if you have a car to roam around. |
