What was your first mortgage %
Bought my first house in 1985 for 36K The rates were just starting to drop from around 14% I paid some points and locked in at 11 3/4%

FHA 1 yr. ARM in 1996 for $127k at 6.5%. First two adjustments it went down.

assumed a 28k FHA loan in 1973 which was at 7%. Bought a 2nd house in 1983 for 40K at 13% which was refi'd in 1994 at 9%. That ones paid off next December.
Current Residence 110K loan at 6%

In 1989 I had an ARM and was paying 12%.
We purchased a new home in 2003 with a 30yr fixed 5.25% |

Until the rate drop in the mid-90's I always thought anything below 9% was a great rate.

My first house was in Portales NM, 7% for a $35,000 loan back in 94.
Sold the house 8 years later for $35,000

Assumable (remember those?) VA loan back in the late 70's. IIRC, it was around 8 3/8%.
