Can I fit in a new Miata
Hey Guys,
I'm 6' 4", 210 pounds. Is it even worth my while to look at a new hard top Miata? I like all I read about them but don't want to go through the dealership hassle if I have no hope of being comfortable in one. Thanks, Troy

Put an ad in craigslist and you can have a few at your doorstep in minutes...

I don't have the answer, but I admire your guts in posting your question on this board.

At 6'4" and 210, I'd say you can fit into anything you want
![]() Seriously, I suspect it would be a little short on leg/thigh room. Plus, you'll likely be a little cramped reaching for the gear shift. |

I'm not overly stupid but I don't "get" Steve's or Burnin's comments.

dunno, how big is your purse? If you have one of those huge ones it might be a tight fit.

You'd be tight in an older miata (NA or NB), but you will probably fit better in a new miata (NC). Since it shares a chassis with the RX-8, it should be a bit bigger.
I'm 6'2" and 200# and fit in mine, my buddy is 6'3" and 275 and is a bit tight in the passenger's side, but then I have an older (NA) model.

I knew a 6+ foot guy (maybe 6-1 or 6-2) who raced a spec Miata. He weighed over 200 pounds easily. Did fine with the car. Drove the crap out of it, in fact.

I love the Miata. I think it would be a fun little track car. When I was shopping for my son's first car we saw a beautiful little black on black Miata at a good price. I showed it to my son. He threw me a puzzled look and said, "Dad. I'm NOT gay." Oh well...

Not to mention, there's a big difference between 6' or 6'1" and 6'3" or 6'4".

I sat in one once - seemed to fit OK if I sorta slumped down and wore a ball cap with dark glasses. The girl that was driving it was only 5'2". She fit great in it great...
