Flippin COLD!!

We're at -6 by Road America. I can deal with that, but it's howling windy out there - 35+ MPH. That brings the windchill down to 30+ below. Even THAT I could deal with, but with all the snow we've been having the drifting is insane. I was on my way to Duluth on business. Took the winter rigged Yukon XL which did well, but secondary roads had massive drifts. Main roads weren't much better. Visibility down to zip very often. I-43 south shut down due to a 12 car pile-up. Someone probably hit a snow drift when blinded by blowing snow and wiped out. Cars following, also flying blind probably rammed the poor guy. Then all hell broke loose. I saw it after I turned around to head home. First time I've ever postponed due to weather. I've traveled through some hellacious crap, but the consequences were too great today.

10 F here with -11 F windchill. That sounds balmy compared to Bob. Several multiple car pileups on highways heading north. It is cold & ugly out there. 15 + inches of blowing snow. I went to the grocery store this morning with the A4 Quattro & it performed mightily without a problem. I love that car in the snow. The best I have ever owned.

Repeat after me:

It's called "climate change". Not global warming.

We have had a foot of snow here in the last few days, and it never, ever snows here. The weather is just fecked. And I suspect we have something to do with it.

And yes I'm jealous but my time will come. BTW, wtf are you doing online when you should be outdoors?? Step away from the computer.

It got to 31F here a few days ago. Try and buy an ice scraper at the local Kragens or Pep Boys, they don't carry them. Honestly! I bought one when I was back East and brought it back with me on the plane.

I agree it is getting way to cold.

Today when I took my Carrera to Laguna Beach, I had to put on a hoodie with my tennis shorts. Boy I hate that. I guess I will have to wait till next week for some t-shirt weather.

For all the guys that hate Cali, enjoy the snow drift (I lived in NJ for a while so I know it sucks).. Sorry but have to make up for all the California bashing throughout the year..

Remember CA is the land of Wayne, Milt, Olsen, etc.. Can't be that bad...

-32*C one morning this weekend. Agreed, where is this global warming I have been warned so much about?... The 951 doesn't start in this weather so I can't help it get here any sooner.

In lieu of the ice scraper - which no one knows of in SoCal, here's a tip for a fellow Southlander - go back inside, grab the largest pot in the kitchen, fill it with preferably warm tap water, go back outside, and pour it over all necessary viewing areas, which should include door mirrors.

Worked great for me a few icy mornings ago...
