The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Since quite a few have been commenting on movies lately, I just thought I'd say my wife & I saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button today. I really wanted to see The Day the World Stood Still but passed on it based upon comments by people here on OT.
My wife & I both really liked it. I would recommend it. It doesn't have too much in the way of special effects (except for the aging thing), violence, car crashes, etc., but the story was well done and the acting was good. One of the best I've seen in a long time - in my opinion.

Seems like a really creative and fantastic storyline, and I've heard from a few people it is very well done. I rarely see movies, maybe 1 per year, because for the most part I find they suck and are a disappointment. But I think I'll see this one.

My mom went out and saw it, and said it was "a little strange, but a great movie." I might go see it, but alas, I'm still young, so I need boobs and violence and fast cars to captivate my attention longer than 10 minutes.

It is a fascinating and captivating movie, and I usually only watch movies with explosions and gunfire. I definitely did not regret seeing it.

The concept of the film is genius and it was fairly well executed.

It is a sad story Mr. Puff. It invites one to examine his or her own life, values, friendships, family, and mortality. It was kind of Forrest Gump like in that respect.

It is worth seeing.

This movie addressed some issues that I tried not to give much thought to. Its story telling but still It presses the issues of those born less fortunate and what happens to those left behind with the passing of a loved one. It managed to thoroughly depress me Still a excellent movie.

The concept is interesting - has a Merlin thing going for it in a way - Merlin was born old and grew young as time went on. I guess it might be like Lazarus Jones in 'Time Enough For Love' were he out lives his wives and kids many times over.

I don't know if I will see it or not - I have been attracted to comedies and suspense over drama lately.

Story was from F. Scott Fitzgerald - one of America's handful of great writers. While it was better than other movies made from his works, it still can't compare to his writing....

Funny & strange that Twain & Fitzgerald don't translate to the screen, but Hemingway and Steinbeck do....especially as Fitzgerald later wrote screenplays for Hollywood.....

It was Forrest Gump ... but in reverse.

I didn't care for it at all.

I really liked it. For the shoot 'em up guys there was a very good scene where Benjamin let rip with something like a .50 BMG machine gun at a German U-boat that had been firing on them.

I thought it was a little over-hyped..and I found myself not caring about the main character as much as I did Forrest Gump.

Pretty good story.

After I rented it and watched it, I got a copy of F. Scott Fitzgerald's short story (same name) that the movie was based on.

Some differences... the baby could talk when it was born, etc.
