Big $$$ pool hustlers
In this video, difficult to hear the rhetoric. The white haired guy is "bucktooth", a legendary hustler...mentioned in books. The guy with the satchel is "fatman", a high roller who made a bundle in legit biz. Footage was at the Derby City Classic...an annual "tournament" that attracts many within the pool world...especially those who play for high stakes.
The way I read it on the boards is that "bucktooth" was showing a wad of bills....saying he wanted to play for $50,000. Bucktooth is notorious for this...showing a big wad, but needing "weight" from any challenger, thus giving him the edge of winning. Fatboy unzipped his bag, pulled out his wad of 100's, said: "Let's flip for it"... Bucktooth walked away...a 50-50 bet wasn't his bag. Uh, glad I wasn't there....But stacks of C notes does grab the eye... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSf3V8CR_SU

3-4 guys with automatics could have taken that place down with some driver help. 2 drivers. Where'd you say this happens?
![]() Pretty stupid having your pic on the Net showing your bag. I've always wondered why someone hasn't nailed a Costco. But, they handle their cash a LOT smarter.

I had the same thought...between the two of them, over $300,000 in cold hard "cecils" ($100 bills) was being flashed in that video...too much temptation for some folks. But I'd guess there was LOTS of security folks around....

Sure, security at the venue. But, do these cats run all over the place carrying that much dinero? If I had criminal intent, I'd be able to harvest that cash. Just looks plain stupid to me.

Milt, from what I've heard of the DCC...(Derby City Classic) there is a TON of cash floating around the place. Money pool players aren't big on checks or plastic...
Fatman & Bucktooth are the upper end of the scale, but yes...lots of folks walking around these huge tournaments are carrying 5 figures or more in cash. The real action at these events isn't the tournament itself, but in the "practice rooms", where matches are played out for very high stakes, all cash money.
