No more diapers!!!

Not me you a$$es!!

My 2 YO went all day without any accidents.

This is almost an entire week of no diapers and very few accidents in the daytime hours, anyway.

I know this pales in comparison to what some of you Pelicans are experiencing but this is a great day, indeed.

No more freakin' diaper genies or buying diapers.

We were fortunate to live somewhat in the sticks when my youngest was a child. We could let him wander around the yard without bottoms. Tree trained, if you will.

I don't know if it's early but we didn't think my son would EVER be potty trained.

Everyone said a second child learns faster and they wer right!!! She has learned to talk, walk(she didn't bother with crawling), and most everything else sooner than Jacob did.

Ok, right now she is combing my hair and spraying "pretty spray" on me.

Nope, you will not need diapers anymore, but now that money is going to go towards Tylenol and ear plugs....lol

Yes, 2 is early. Good for you. My eldest was trained @ 2.5 and was the only one under three at his "training-required" preschool. My youngest, OTOH, took his sweet time! Of course, I didn't help by sneaking a diaper once in awhile when we'd go out just 'cuz I was a lazy bastard and didn't like being on a tightrope w/o a net. Wifey not too happy when she'd catch him with it on!

Two big points in my life with kids, the end of diapers and when they get their driver's license and you don't have to shuttle them everywhere anymore. The DL brings its own set of problems. Congratulations!

Girls typically mature faster than boys.

Congrats! I remember the diaper days. (like it was yesterday ) I could change them while asleep. My daughter was "trained" a little after turning two. She is ten now.

What? No more kids coming? 2 is early for being potty trained, especially for a boy. Any changes such as a vacation or long trip might get him to revert back to the "not potty trained" stage. It's common. If not, Bonus!

I can sympathize. I have been dealing with diapers since 1997. I am hoping to be done this year although we'll probably use pullups for a little while. I can't wait. I am so sick of diapers!!

Sometimes potty trained boys can learn other tricks. My brother used to have a magazine rack near the toilet in his old house and started wondering why his Kiplinger's were getting wet. Turns out the youngest boy wasn't real particular with his aim.....haha.

From a diaper website:

"Diapers - How many changes?
Babies will require a change about 7000 times over a 2 year period!

* Number of diapers per day - Varies between 8 and 12, average about 10 diapers per day

* Number of diapers over a 2 year period - Approx 7,200 !"

Pretty staggering numbers for just 2 years.

I remember the milestone well. The savings on diapers and formula was enough to afford us many a "luxury" we couldn't previously afford.

Huge congratulations. The sleepless nights and diapers will not be missed. I've probably got 6-8 months left of them.

Wayne congratulations on the potty training.

I have never thought diaper changes were that big of a deal. I mean I don't like it, but it is not that bad.

Is it a coincidence that there is an ad for "Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Diapers" on the bottom of this page?

That's good news Wayne, I hope to make that jump one of these days

Thanks guys.

I should clarify her age, though. She is actually 2 and half. Not that it matters cause we are pretty darned happy.

I didn't mind changing diapers and really my wife did them most times anyway.

Taking the bag'o dirty diapers to the garbage every Sunday night is not a chore I will miss.
