incredible buy on 72 LWRS Clone

My wrench is in the hospital for serious back surgery and will be down for some time. As such, he needs to sell his "baby". It's his personal car and is a great little car. He listed it for $50K and had some serious inquiries. Then he reduced it to $35K and generated a lot of activity but it didn't sell. Now he's on the fence and told me he'd take $26K! THis is an amazing opportunity for someone to grab an exceptional car from a well respected and well known wrench.

Specifications

Were not for his unfortunate back surgery and these sad economic times this car should sell for a whole lot more. Hurry if you're interested, he needs to sell it now!

Nice looking car! I'm thinking some other wheels might take it to another level (Minilites?).

He has a set of Fuchs for the car and would gladly swap them for the BBS wheels if preferred...

You can say that again! This car could be parted out for a whole lot more. He is a premier wrench with 30+ years experience that includes a stint Andial and Porsche factory. I would love to have it but can't justify another car to my loving spouse. Pass the word... this car should sell in a few days!

The early 911 bubble has burst, methinks...(edit) FWIW, I've passed a link along to a few friends who might be interested.

No better place to sell this P-car than Pelican. The price is at the lowest possible $ to get it sold quickly. EBay could be an alternative but not on any bidding basis. This is an incredible value if one knows anything about early Porsches. Value bubbles are bursting everywhere in this economy and this car needs to be sold. He needs the $$ now or this car would never be offered at this price. Thanks for passing it on. No one should waste any time trying to screw the price down any further. I've agreed to help with delivery if need be.

PM me with any serious interest....

donny, one of the guys I sent the link to lives in Phoenix..we'll see. I can't buy it. Oh, I could write the check...but Cindy would shoot me long before I had a chance to slide into the driver's seat. I promised her...no more P-cars for me, and I'm a man of my word. Did you try posting this where those who claim to be "players" hang out? Those who know the price of everything & the value of nothing?

Donny,

First off, give my best to Jay, hope everything turns out okay.

To anyone interested, I saw this car taken down to a bare shell and and then get built back up again. The guy knows Porsches and he did a nice job with this car. It might be more appealing with the Fuchs on it (that's what people like to see). It wouldn't be too much to swap those nearly new Yokos out I would think.

If I had the money I'd be seriously tempted.

Kurt, Jay is in the hospital up in Flagstaff for back surgery. I know he's concerned about how his recovery will affect his work. He's looking to sell that sweet little green hot rod way too cheap to get it done. I told him I'd run it out on Pelican and see what interest there might be. Good to hear from you. Come up for drive sometime, eh? I've got about 200 miles on a fresh build by our friend Jay! Wow.

PWD, Thanks man. I hear ya about those damned promises. I have the same joy in my life. LOL

Good luck with the sale...I mean that. To replicate this car? $$$$ beyond the asking price, for darned sure.

Never met Jay, but wish him a full & speedy recovery...

Looks like a nice car and I am on the hunt for a new toy but not sure I could grow into this color...although I did have a bright green 914 previously

Just to clarify is it a 72 tub ?

bump for a killer car. I even like the BB's. Minilites are sweet on vintage cars, BUT, all vintage stuff has them +1 for the bbs

Donny,

Send Jay get well wishes from down south.

Barrett Jackson starts tomorrow. There's a lot of money in town. If you haven't yet, posting the ad on the Phoenix craigslist or in the AZ Republic could pay off. A few years ago I sold my '84 911 to guy who was in town for the auctions and wasn't willing to pay the auction prices.
