I'm pretty sure you can skip Washingon/Oregon. Folks here tend to ignore what happens on the 'other side of the moutains'. That pretty much includes everything from Cle Elum, WA to Maine.

But, but, but....after serving I ended up being a vile Veetnam war protester, reviled by "Patriots" (then and now)! How can you agree with my snarky proclamation?!! I'm, I'm...nonplussed!

meh :)

I vote "Flordia" - it's so patriotic it doesn't exist.

RoninLB 01-11-2009 09:37 PM

If current "patriotic" to the US means keeping the government away from managing people's lives I'd vote for Idaho.

I wondered why Idaho never went with a state endorsed Meagan's Law, as almost all other states have, until I hung with some locals. They don't want more laws for anything. They take care of their own problems personally. They don't need cops to be their garbage collectors.

Define 'patriotic' in this context for a fuuurner, please.

PorscheGAL 01-12-2009 05:40 AM

About 5 years ago a study came out and said Georgia had more service medal winners than any other state. I would say Georgia is most patriotic.

How about the state of intoxication? I tend to get very patriotic when in that state.

Jim Richards 01-12-2009 07:00 AM

Most patriotic states are "These United`States" as stated in our Constitution. We are not a nation of red states or blue states as given in a speech by the president elect, but the UNITED STATES of America.

I recall Obama as saying that we're the United States, not red and blue states...

I always thought the slur was "twinkie".

Either way, I prefer my slurs to be snack foods and not fruits.
