Steel stock in Los Angeles? Online?

Any of you welders/fabricators able to point me to an inexpensive source for steel? I'm looking for a bunch of 3/4-inch and 1-inch square tubing lengths for a fence project, and I suspect if I could go pick the stuff up it'd be cheaper.

At MetalsDepot, I can get an 8-foot length of 16-gage 1x1 tubing for $12.88. I have no idea if this is expensive or cheap.

Sorry, my wife's distributors only work in loads in the 40K lbs region. Look for "odd lengths" from distributors. You'll need to sawzall it to the length you need, but it is "scrap" to them.

Like Steve said, Bobco in Downtown. My fabricator buys from them only, and they are the cheaest around. They will sell to you wholesale.

You can also try Industrial Metal in Sun Valley. McMaster Carr is usually "premium price" for metal, tubing, etc.
