That's 'exactly' what I was thinking when I read the thread.

I see this in RE all the time and it's a challenging point to consider.
I'd also give some weight to doing what makes you happy.

In the WSJ today, Pfizer to buy Wyeth - not good. It will be another blood bath. Large pharma was good to me for many years, but it's tanking. This area was good for that, but there will be more and more layoffs thus more and more looking for the same job.

I know this area like the back of my hand, I sort of 'Love' it here. I guess that doesn't matter if I can't find work. I'm getting closer to a deal, we'll see.
