it's a good time to buy tools

I am filling in my tools(in case I have to go bacjk to working on cars) and i noticed...Matco, Snap on and Cornwell tools are selling really cheap right now on ebay, espescially the big ticket stuff and impact guns. (no offense, but if you say craftsman yadayada, you are wrong). I guess it must be all the mechanics and dealers going out and people trying to raise $$..anyway, alot of good deals now.

I went to a local pawn shop this past Christmas to buy a used trumpet for my daughter. The place was full of tools, especially large power tools and high end stuff. Amazing...

I have noticed this too, I have been looking for another tool box for at home, and I am regularly seeing huge sets for sale for pennies on the dollar. I hear that the american dealers are slow, my neighbor who wrenches for the local CHevrolet dealer, has been coming home by noon everyday. On the other hand though, I hear independent shops are killing. I have been super busy.

I picked up this tire changer off of Craig's list for $400. Only reason I wanted it, is that is will do a 20" rim and 44" tall tire. So I can do the tires on the Unimogs on a machine now. No more doing them by hand anymore!
