I miss Warren.
He was the guy I went to who would make sense of the situation when nothing else worked. I still search on some of his threads just for the reading pleasure.
He's taught me that one measure of a man isn't what or how much you know, but how you share what you know. Godspeed.

He was a great guy, not only for his engineering and Porsche knowledge. He was fairly private about anything personal on the board but every once in a while some little bit of info was inadvertently released and it was always delightful.

I talk with his sister every couple of weeks and through those discussions have learned a lot about Warren. He was very much ih real life as he was in this virtual one. I was fortunate enough to meet him a few times face to face, but felt like I had known him much longer. I miss him very much.

I remember when I stumbled into owning my first 911 back in 2000 and Warren was the first person to answer one of my rambling posts. I owe a lot to his knowledge.

I printed out his threads on repairing a Bosch CDI unit...it was greek to me, but I figured any good electronics guy would understand. The print-outs went with my old car. If needed, they will certainly aid Evren in the future.
Warren's not dead...not as long as anyone remembers and heeds his wisdom.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die! Mary Frye (1932) __________________

Was Warren a wrench? How'd he know so much about the P-car?

From what I know, he was a helicopter wrench and a p-car nut. He had a library of p-car stuff that was probably one of the largest in a private collection. He had every manual and magazine that you could think of. He was what they now call a nerd in the good sense. If he didn't have an EE degree, he was one anyway.

Milt, I just looked at that post... Has everyone listed as a guest with post numbers as N/A
What's up with that ? Is Wayne going to do something special with all Warrens posts ? Actually not a bad idea, maybe put them in a special place with no replys allowed ( like the cars for sale section)
