I finally put my cars on my website..

Since it has Porsche content, not sure to post it here or in the 911 forum, but here it is.. I finally got *most* of my car project build pictures put up on my website. Believe me, this is a painstaking process! I originally built the site for flying pictures, but added a link for car stuff. I also realized that I have basically no pictures of all my cars I built when I was much younger! So, check it out and let me know if you find any broken links, etc, or general comments.. http://www.jetpylot.com Enjoy! Thanks!

I'm trying to figure out all the inlet steps to this turbofan. http://www.jetpylot.com/images/flying/planes/index.htm There seems to be an annular opening just after the primary/first bell-housing. Then there is this baby blue stuff which steps in right at the fan blade tips. What engine is this, and can you help me find a section cutaway or drawing of it? EDIT: Nice cars, nice pictures.

air-cool, sent you a PM. Kach, it looks like an illusion in the photo, as it is a smooth cowling all the way back. No 'steps' . See this: http://www.pwc.ca/en/engines/pw306c The turbine blades are actually loose, and the ends move almost 1/4" freely back and forth, so when the wind is turning the fans slowly (engine off), they rattle - clank-clank-clank- really loud! Monza, first,.... brakes,.... next,.... front pans,.

That was cool. I love that you went from early 911 to 993 back to early 911 back to 993. Sounds like me - my mind changes DAILY about what my next Porsche will be. Sometimes I like the early stuff, sometimes I want something more modern. For a long time I was sold on getting a 911SC, although recently I've started thinking about looking for a 964 down the road. I've even thought about looking for a used Boxster... but I think my next Porsche will definitely be an air-cooled 911 (I have grown to HATE coolant since my 951 head gasket repair).

The goal would be to own both, but that wont happen soon. I cant decide wether to get a 964 or another 993 next. My ultimate car is a 965.
