Heh heh. That's what I was thinking. Those who are truly overworked aren't around to answer to this thread.
That being said, I'm pretty swamped these days. I was pretty busy towards the end of last year. Then, the last two weeks of December, nothing. As a surgeon, I really can only do elective surgeries after obtaining approval from insurance companies. I don't know what happened, but I had virtually no approvals come through at the beginning of December, which meant no work to be scheduled for the end of the month. Of course, come the first week of January, and a million and one approvals come through. I'm still working on a backlog of a couple weeks to get approved procedures scheduled. It's been pretty stressful trying to get urgent stuff squeezed in, while not pissing off too many non-urgent patients/insurance companies/employers who get pushed back in the queue.

overworked, overemployed, underemployed, unemployed. Semantics.
Having too much work doesn't imply you must or will be overworked. You must know when to say when, when to put down the tools, when to pick up the toys, and when to relax. If only I followed my advice. ![]() |

Not overworked...but big lack of man power on my side....! I'm doing the same than turbo6bar....doing what I'm paid for.....37.5 hours a week....and it's enough.

I'm swamped with work, I have spent all week running from NYC, Pittsburgh, to Greenwich, etc; more work than I can handle; Not to mention a fantastic new job offer that has landed in my lap! Now decision time.

I am a gerenal remodeling contractor with a custom cabinet shop. We've been going like crazy for the past 10 years without any down time. We are still very busy and have work lined up for the next year and a half. A few loyal clients are willing to wait. I am still looking at some up coming projects that are still in the design stage. I can't wait to go on my forced vacation. Take a month off during May with my little boys, wife and my parents and rent a RV to see America. My turn to hold up traffic suckers.

Unfortunately, some employers respond to the current economic distress by breaking the law. I have been suuuuuuuuuuper busy in my superhero cape!
