I have a .32. It's nice, but don't shoot it much.

I think they'd be more popular today if they were available when the country got the 9mm fever in the 70's & 80's. As I remember it we weren't supposed to have any 'commie' made guns back then so it wasn't available to import. Younger 'sexier' models now have the spotlight, perhaps the HiPower is also affected by this. Both are still great pistols.

I have one and really like it.
The good: A lot of gun for the money. I got the stainless version and there has been no surface rust (unlike my XD). Because it isn't a polymer gun it absorbs the recoil very well. Comes with hard case, dummy round, and a couple other little things. The bad: When I have ten rounds in the magazine and the gun in the holster the magazine makes noise when I walk but if I only put nine rounds in the magazine it is fine. For some reason the magazines start to get surface rust so don't neglect them. From what I have heard the gun is not made to fire hollow points and will have problems feeding hollow points up the ramp but I have never fired hollow points through mine so I can't verify this. Supposedly the customer service at CZ is terrible but I have not had any reason to contact them yet. Overall: I am very happy with my CZ75B and I would gladly trade some of the other polymer guns that I own for another CZ. Keep in mind that I am in California and I am limited to ten round magazines so you may not have the same problems with magazines that I have. -Shawn |

Great platform for a .38 super IPSC race gun...

It was rate No.1 on this site. Don't know if it means anything, but it really does look like a lot of gun for the money...and I haven't seem any negative reports on my searched.
The sucessor to the CB 75 is the CZ P-01. It's suppose to be supperior. I might just spurge and go for one with a lazer grip (worth it?). Last edited by MotoSook; 02-24-2009 at 02:38 PM.. |

That's a good point about the lazer. As for the CZ P-01, it has a 3.8" barrel. Might that affect it's accuracy compared to the 4.7" barrel of the CZ 75B?

I never shoot a handgun from a bench so usually a 1" difference in barrel length won't have a noticeable impact on my accuracy. |

.32s with hollowpoint are notorious for rimlock and feeding problems. And hollowpoint in a .32 is worthless anyway, not enough penetration. Even in .380, the penetration of a hollowpoint is low enough to cause concern. I run Corbon +P JHP with FMJ every other round in my .380.
