If mileage is correct and its rust free and as clean as the pictures look, its probably fairly priced if not a bit on the low side. I doubt mileage is correct as I think they had 289's not 302's.

Broncos fetch a heck of a lot more $$ than IH Scouts. They had one in the Sundance catalogue (Robert Redford's overpriced stuff) that went for 24k (?). It was a '69 and restored, but still..

no the 72, had a 302. my 71 (now in my brother posession) has one.
i am going to approach my wife with this one. my gut feels like it is a good price. i helped my brother spend 12k on his, and his is still primered. no paint, yet.

For that money, I needs to be uncut (rear wheel openings) and documented as never w/ rust...especially today. They are good looking vehicles though. Look for a 76 or 77...Front disc brakes and better diff's.

in california, we want 75 or older. looks like this one has front disc retrofitted. i would love an uncut one, but i would be beating this thing in the backroads.

That is a solid price from what I can see in the pictures. It would be tough to build one for that money. A few years ago that rig would have been 15k-18k, Bronco prices are down along with everything else. I have a '77.

Thats very good price for that Bronco. They are going for big bucks around here. Iv'e seen basket cases going for close to $8000 A guy around the corner from me has a beautiful 71. He was offered $20,000 and would not take it.
Always loved them. Never picked one up though. Now I regret it.

Prices are dropping as the economy sags. I am a Ford guy, but I bought a 73 Blazer years ago because it was a little bigger and more solid. My buddy had a Scout with a slant four turbo diesel (stock) that ended up leading the Tierra del Sol jeep rally with the stock skinny rims and tires on it. People would cry bs when he told them what powered it. Hand throttles with a stick and 4x4 are awesome when crawlin.

That's actually a really nice one and it's worth $12K all day long, especially if it's dialed-in. (Doesn't need anything). A friend of mine used to buy/sell/restore/build quite a few of them, they can go for crazy $$ if they are modified and in show condition. I would rate that one as way above average, based on pictures.
My favorite ones are bone-stock with uncut fenders and the wheel covers that came on them like they appeared in the little brochures they used to mail out with the full Ford line back in the '60s and '70s.
