Houston didn't come out so good on that deal Last time I was in La, a casher at a convenience store thanked us for taking their riff raff although she didn't say riff raff.

the word riff raff was likely coined in NOLA -- it is based on the Scottish word for rower or paddler, and was applied tot he Scots-Irish ruffians who ran flat boats down to the city before steamboats were invented. They then walked back up via the Natchez Trace. They were rough and tumble ugly boys but they got the goods to the port, and had fun in the big city if they survived the journey. Enjoy your visit. You can choose any parade route from mild to wild... | ||

Have fun Tom. Some of us have to live vicariously through you, so take lots of pics! My uncle was the King of Mardi Gras ( a parade?) way back when. Answer me one question if you can Tom, is Calendar's still in BR?
