My mom just died yesterday

I'm here in Florida, home on leave visiting my brother and parents. My brother, dad and I went out to see a movie so mom could rest (flu), and when we came back she had taken her own life. There were no warning signs at all, she was fine that morning. None of us know why. All she left was a note saying she loved us all. I don't want to type much, still pretty tough right now. My brother and dad and I are holding each other together. It's hard to accept that she's really gone, especially that she did it herself. At least I got to see her one last time though, and got to cook her breakfast the other day. It's crazy, not really sure what to say here. Everytime I close my eyes I see her laying back on the bed though, gun in hand and blood from her nose and mouth... It's horrible. al;ao;ighal;skaoir ugh.

I'd also highly recommend that you all seek some form of grief counselling ASAP.

In situations such as these, too many begin to blame themselves and second guess the past. Having a professional help guide you through those waters can make all the difference.

I had a very close friend take their own life a few weeks ago. I am VERY sorry for your loss. My mother is struggling with illness and depression as well. I completely empathize with your situation.

My condolences. My first thought also was that it wasn't "the flu", but something terminal.

I understand and sympathize. My 21 yo stepson committed suicide about 5 or 6 years ago.

It's best to remember the good and that you both shared love.

I have been in a situation such as yours before. Answers don't come easily or quickly. It may seem that you have a support group with your Father and Brother, but you all need to speak with a counseler and get help dealing with it all. There's a lot to do now, don't get overwhelmed, or immerse yourself into it and have it crash in a big heap at the end. Good luck and prayers sent.
