Odd request for anyone in/near Buffalo or Niagara Falls NY
So it seems there are a ton of us Canucks around here that really miss Cherry Coke. They used to sell it here, but yanked it about 7 or 8 years ago. I rekindled my love affair for said carbonated beverage recently while in Florida. And apparently I'm not the only weirdo who really misses the stuff - when I mentioned on my facebook page that I'd had some lately, several people expressed envy.
So I, being the closest of my friends to a US border, have been duly elected to do a Cherry Coke run. My questions are 1. is it easy enough to find in Buffalo or Niagara Falls (i.e. this isn't something exclusive to FLA) and 2. what's the name/location of a large supermarket where I can get 20 or 30 cases of the stuff? I looked on yellowpages.com but it was filled with a bunch of mom and pop corner stores. I'm looking for places like Costco, which apparently don't exist in Buffalo. Thanks for any leads, tips or advice!!!

If you cross at Lewiston, you will immediately see billboards advertising outlet malls etc - either the 3rd or 4th exit (maybe Niagara Blvd). There is a major supermarket there. Maybe a Krogars? I have gone across for my Cocoa Krispies fix in the past. Ian

Ok, so there are a lot more people that drive across the border just for grocery-type stuff we can't get here in Canada!
Thanks for the tip!Have the border guys on either side ever questioned you about just declaring groceries? I'm a bit concerned about that. I don't mind declaring it (it'd be hard to smuggle 50 cases of pop) but I don't want them tearing the car apart because some guy with weird hair is declaring a bunch of coke...

Here you go:
![]() Yeah. I don't make a special trip but I have done it. Never quantity though & so I didn't declare 2 boxes of cereal & some chips. I know when the $ was favorable, it used to be a big deal for people in St. Cath etc.Ian

It's been quite a few years since I've lived in Upstate NY, but I'd say Wegmans is the store of choice. If they have expanded outside NY, that'd be news to me...but Wegmans I would say is like a Costco / Meijer / Krogers type store...but better. They've made the top 100 employers list to work for, for the past few years. Just a bit of trivia.

Wegmans grew beyond NY borders at least 10 years ago. Wegmans would be an excellent choice as they carry an outrageous amount of products.

while you are here shopping, try to find boylans black cherry. my customers like it better mixed with regular coke than actual cherry coke.
