What Would You Do If You Recognized That Cut You Off In Traffic!?!

Funny how the world is a small place.... Three weeks ago a friend and I were going out to lunch and as we were driving along..this "winner" does a multi lane sweep in front of us, think crossing three lanes of traffic to make a left turn right in front of us. I saw it happening so started slowing down and preparing for it.

Not much I could do, but his vehicle was an older Chevy Silverado with a unique paint job, unique wheels, matching topper and funny enough advertising his Radio Control Hobby business.

I was pretty perturbed about it but chalked it up to another idiot with a driver's license.

Fast forward to yesterday, I see him and his truck pulling into the Walmart parking lot and parked a few hundred feet from me....so....

....seriously would you guys say anything to this dipzit or let it go...I did not say anything...your thoughts?

Guy at work road raged his next door neighbor, on the way to work.
Horn, finger, mini-lunges, etc.
Word travels fast on a film set.
The very next day, on my morning commute, he rages me from behind.

pulled around me, into the other lane.

That said, a few years ago, I drove by a car that had "SLOW DOWN" keyed into the side. Pretty funny....

I had a guy in my neighborhood pull over on a two lane road (on the cell phone) to a complete stop. I moved to pass but he decided that he didn't want to be passed and gunned it trying to put me off the road. I passed and he followed me through a residential neighborhood tailgating, honking and trying to cut me off. I gave him quite a chase to get away as there rarely is a winner in this type of confrontation.

You can't fix stupid in anyone but yourself. Once you realize that, you'll he happier. Perhaps a bit more helpless feeling against the seemingly endless onslaught of it, but at least at peace.

Yasin, gotta let it go. Like someone else mentioned, people who drive like that habitually are a bit like dogs with regards to their memory of the event. No recall of the indiscretion unless you catch 'em at the moment they do it. And even that potential of their self-realization is a bit sketchy. Waiting until the next day to tell your dog that it shouldn't have shat on the carpet or chewed your fuzzy slipper is utterly futile.

Or, call up the RC hobby business that's advertised on his truck, make up some story on how you were a potential customer, but now you'll take your business elsewhere due to the douchiness of his driving.

LONG time ago I was cut-off on the way to the ski hill by a car full of teens who passed me on the right hand shoulder of the road as it changed from 4 lane to two lane. We found their car in the parking lot and put small rocks under each of the valve tire stems so that all four tires deflated.

However now I just try to ignore it. I figure in my business there is a chance, slim but possible, that I may just see the person in the car at a business meeting in the future so doing something stupid in return is a no win situation

I may know what the "right" thing to do is - for whatever reason though I often times don't find myself doing it!

I know I shouldn't get worked up about stupid people, but I do.

I know I shouldn't worry about the economy (it's beyond my control), but I do.

I know I shouldn't drive fast, but I do.

I know I shouldn't get angry/upset when I see society going to hades in a handbasket, but I do.

(I'm sure we're all like this to some degree).

One downside of being a passionate person is that sometimes it can get in the way of logic.

Best to let it go, there is also "road rage leglislation " now. I know a guy who did a little strecth of time for having two road rage incidents, neither one involved physical violence.

You should probably get in that old red, slow and rusty, German car you own (if it will start, probably hasn't seen sunlight in weeks), and drive north up the "I" to my house. You would think that being endowed with both red hair and copious amounts of estrogen that I would be a real fire cracker in traffic. Nothing further from the truth. I'm so laid back in traffic you would swear I was another human being. I think driving in traffic brings out my mellow alter-ego!

My husband, on the other hand, is a whole 'nother story... Day to day, Steve is the nicest guy you would ever meet. Fix a flat tire for anybody, work on the neighbor kids bikes, help out a buddy, you name it.

Then he gets behind the wheel... Good Lord, I do NOT know what happens to the man! He screams and froths at the mouth when people cut him off, drive too slow, etc! He used to have an Isuzu Amigo. I was following him in traffic and some person made the evidently unforgiveable sin of sitting still at the green light. Steve honked, they made the mistake of flipping him off...

Steve's 6'2 and 275 lbs. Most of him was hanging out of the Isuzu red faced and bellowing for the person to pull over an accept a proper ass-whupping... And Steve intended to make good on his offer.

So here's my suggestion. Doesn't matter what they did. Call the police or just let it go entirely because you never know who might be behind the wheel. Worse still, they could very angry AND have a zombie gun!

The mirrors get tweaked... such that if they want to use them, they have to stop, and do some adjusting...
