same here, i just got over mine yesturday. lasted for a solid week.
the best thing is lots of fluids, and plenty of rest.

I've been lucky this year, no flu and no cold. I sort of like a modest flu once a year, gives the chance to lay around the house, feel sorry for myself, have wifey-supplied tea and soup, watch TV, and use up some sick days. But the flu that's gone around my office this year involves throwing up, which I can do without.

My family got the flu shot and we all got it anyways.
Took a week for myself and my infant daughter to get better. My 2yo son has had it bad for 10 days. My wife just got and wants to die. |

It's run it's course through our home. My 4 year old son and I had a great bonding experience vomiting together, my wife and 1 1/2 year old daughter had it later that week. My flu ended with my appendix coming out, so be greatful.
