Just wanted to give a thumbsup to nostatic Z-man and all the other mods. Sometimes it takes a glimps of what it could be like (don't just mean rlist) to remind us how good a job these guys do even against our better wishes some times

It is due to the high quality of character of the folks who frequent these forums that makes the moderating easy, and virtually invisible. Seriously.

Sure, there are some bad apples that are either transient in nature, or regular participants. But the overall atmosphere here is a positive one.

(That, and you're all a bunch of poopy-heads, espeically that dhoward guy...)

Seriously guys, you all do a great job here and foster an environment in which people are generally civil and cordial. It's not by accident and it's appreciated. This is a great place and one of those rare little corners of the Internet where the discussion and inevitable disagreements are kept reasonably polite.

It doesn't hurt that I find the general caliber of individual here to be considerably higher than that of the population-at-large. Seriously. There are some really bright, talented and interesting people here. Certainly NOT a cross-section of society-at-large, it's nice to be in the company of (generally) motivated, passionate and educated people.
