Likewise if Paul decides against it too.

Garands in service grade condition, $595 + 22.95 shipping, direct to your house.

It is not difficult to comply with the program requirements:

Club affiliation: Just about any state club qualifies

Shooting requirements: My CHL qualifies me, but you can download a form, go to the range, shoot some rounds, and have a range official sign you off.

Screw Service grade....let us try NM Type II's and a WW2 that is straight except for the stock which was sanded.

The NM Type I or very high serial #ed SA rifles are what to buy...The HR and IH unmolested guns are very desirable as well.

Production stopped in 1957 on the Garand...in the mid 50's after the IH and HR contracts SA was building them on a special order basis as they main interest was rebuilding WW2 rifles. Mostly the rifles built were NM's but a few were just regular rifles....for presentation or trophys...the kicker here is that they were virtually one off rifles...meaning the quality and attention to detail was HIGH>
