I have 4 sons...I want 4 more Garands to give to each son when they earn my trust.......could be at 18 could be at 43? or I might be buried with one or more.

Screw Service grade....let us try NM Type II's and a WW2 that is straight except for the stock which was sanded.

The NM Type I or very high serial #ed SA rifles are what to buy...The HR and IH unmolested guns are very desirable as well.
Production stopped in 1957 on the Garand...in the mid 50's after the IH and HR contracts SA was building them on a special order basis as they main interest was rebuilding WW2 rifles. Mostly the rifles built were NM's but a few were just regular rifles....for presentation or trophys...the kicker here is that they were virtually one off rifles...meaning the quality and attention to detail was HIGH>
