So I hate my cable and cell phone company....

All my contracts expire in May. I'm currently have Verizon, thinking about AT&T. Roll over minutes, etc....30 bucks cheaper a month for 5 phones.

My cable company supplies me with internet and TV....I hate them with a passion.

AT&T can't serve me with DSL but can sign me up with Dish TV.....

Can I initially order 1400 minutes and then bank the minutes and then reduce it to 700 once a year until I use up the rollovers? Anyone know any down sides to Dish or AT&T?

I hate AT&T with a passion. I fight with them every month about inappropriate charges, they fight and argue, then I threaten to shut down the service, they give up the charges, etc. Every freakin' month. I've considered taking the big knock for stopping the contract early, but haven't done this. Yet.

They are one step above Motor Meister.

I like Verizon, but their International leaves something to be desired. I got their BB World phone and I have to call them and go on an international plan when I travel, including Canada. It doesn't work very well, with AT&T you can travel and it just works. I've been told AT&T drops a lot of calls in El Aye, no real complaints with Verizon here.

I hate ATT. They screwed me out of $500 (long story, had documented, cashed check, they could not care). They are a stupid company.

TMobile rocks!

I switched toi T-Mobile when I moved to Houston, because of the data plan. T-mobile has all you can eat internet for $20/mth. AT&T was more than double and I think for 3G is triple.

Anyway, T-Mobile has worked fine for us for 5 years. No complaints.

Oh, and AT&T/Cingular couldn't find any paperwork for my deposit when I signed up in 1998, so I lost something like $250.

ATT unlimited data isn't that bad. I think it's a $30 charge on my iPhone plane with the 3G.
OP: you lose most of your rollover minutes when you downgrade a plan. I just downgraded my 1400m plan to 700 because I had 5k rollover and they let me keep 1000.

I HATED Tmobile. One of their CSR's actually called me an ******* because I was pissed about a $200 charge on my bill that they couldn't account for. That was summer '07, I left Tmo about a week after that, went to ATT and have been happy ever since.

I hated T-Mobile so much that I paid the $200 to quit them early. For over a year we either wouldn't get our bill or it would show up with a billing date after the bill was actually due. Every month my wife would call to pay our bill and fight with the rep, who typically blamed the postal service. The final straw was when she called to pay, and was told "you have no bill". The next month we received a bill for two months worth of service and a cancellation threat.

Switched to AT&T, so far so good. Their coverage is much better than T-Mobile was, or Verizon that we had before them. Plus they have 3G, T-Mobile doesn't offer it in Wichita. Basically though, the bottom line is that they all suck, and don't care about your business.

I had WorldCom, then Cingular, then Nextel, then Sprint.

Nextel by far had the best service, but they were by far the most expensive. (I was paying $70 a month for 500 anytime minutes and unlimited Direct Connect--their cheapest plan at the time.) I suspect things have gone down hill since Sprint bought them.

Sprint is okay. No major problems. I've gotten our combined bill down to $55 a month, where we were paying $125 a month when I was on Nextel and the wife on U.S. Cellular.

AT&T Quality of Service has been junk next to my old VZ...

I get garbled conversations, even with full bars.

Verizon FIOS TV, Internet and house phone here and all OK. The charges slipped up $50/mo., but it was all there to get rid of, like "inside" wire maintenance, call waiting, message center, caller ID and so on. Take the big 3 and it's $110/mo.

We have Sprint on the phones and they're OK too. Lost or damaged phone insurance was soon to have a 100 dollar deductible. Who are they kidding? I'll sign up with another company and get 2 free phones every 2 years! I guess if you have one of the iPhone clones, 100 deduct ain't s***. Anyway, I don't take care of any of these arraignments and I'm surprised I know what I know.

When the FIOS deal is up, if D-TV came knocking with a smokin' deal and free boxes, I'd go that way again. I had D-TV for 10 years and they wouldn't send me a free box, so I canceled. What a bunch of idiots to lose that trouble free subscriber income.

It's easy to see why corporate America sucks. They all have their head in the sand.

I left Direct TV, for Dish Network 7 months ago. I signed a 2 year contract and of course I read it. I did miss the part were they can raise the monthly rate at any time.

SOB's raised my monthly package from $48.83 to $55.38, and it will go up another $5.00 in two months.

It was my own fault, I should have read it closer.

I signed up for Dish, but paid the $99 fee, instead of a 2 year contract. I figured, if I don't like it, I can drop it.

Funny, I had to call today about a $9.99 download on my wife's phone. I told the CSR that she does not ever download anything, it's a phone only. He reversed the charges without me even asking, then I had him disable mobile downloads on that number so it can't happen again. So far so good, but I swear they sneak charges like that onto your bill just to see if you'll notice.
