A lawyer used what I posted on Pelican Parts during my deposition today

I was deposed today re: an accident that occurred several years ago and the plaintiff's lawyer had a few tidbits about me from my postings HERE. Nothing he could use against me, but he discovered that I worked on Jackass-The Movie from what I posted and queried me about a few aspects. Just saying....

It's amazing what lawyers can find by just googling your email address or your name. And they can get your email address or any alias through discovery. Be careful of what you post because it remains on the internet forever.

Yep, I posted my email once then I went back to delete it later. Guess what. it is in the Google cache now. its like google took a snap shot of that exact post and displays it for the world to see, even though the actual post is edited. I wish like hell I could change that.

fking sucks man!

Try googling your name sometime. Scary how much Pelican stuff comes up. Wayne is a wizz kid when it comes to attracting the 'google spiders'

I've got a buddy, doesn't even post here, but somebody does and they've slandered his good name, badly. Now when you google my buddies name its the first thing that comes up on google. Wayne is ignoring my requests to delete the thread, so sometimes its not even what YOU post, but what others post about you.

I'm planning a little face to face meeting with the poster though.......... REAL SOON!

No, don't believe so. I did get screen credits.

The interesting thing is that after 5+ years of posting here, I'll bet a psychologist could develop a pretty good pysch profile on me; looking at my opinions on guns, illegal aliens, taxes, etc. I'm gind of careful on what I post about my shows. If I post pics on a show, it's been already aired or was clearly shown in the general media.

It’s called digital dirt, used by many today!
Doesn’t help that you used (presumably) your real name for the login.

I have posted so much BS about myself that it even hard for me to discern reality from delusion. Like Keith Richards once said all the garbage about me is out there for anyone to find..I say so the fk what.

Just Google the name TABS and see what you find...

That aside I do have my suspicions that I have been found and people read what I write and even act on it...now if only they would put a check in the mail...Unfortunately I think it is the oposition that has found me...

Who gives a $hit.
I use my real name, I post my address, phone number, email, where I live, etc. I'll stand behind every single thing I post. Period.

I'm sick and tired of trollers that hide behind aliases. I'm not going to give a rip about some guy that can't even post his friggin name? Real men stand behind what they post in my book!

One of the very reasons I like the PP-BBS, 90% of the time you know who you're chattin too. The other 10% can take a flying leap as far as I'm concerned. Cowards.

Oh the internet though, Oh what about this, Oh what about that, Oh digital dirt? Crap I say! How about some accountability!

PS: Someone posts a derogitory remark pi$$ing in my cornflakes and I'm gonna be looking for a little face to face action. That's not a threat in any way shape or form; it's a promise. Don't post some stupid remark that you wouldn't say to my face, that way we're cool.

Couple of those CA guys think us Canadians never make it down South or something? I got one guy in particular that's in my scope!

Actually Dave I was planning to contract the job out to YOU?
Ha, Ha.

fwiw, the dude I'm referring to is actually Canadian btw.
He knows who he is and he knows I'm looking for him.
First class azshole, that's who he is.

I asked him nicely to post an apology or prepare to tell it to my face.
Looks like he wants to talk; live.

Not sure how to answer that Q Rob….
In my industry, they use the D’Dirt, not that I agree, but that is the world we live in today if you’re still working!

So my knee jerk reaction is, I don’t give a $hit either

Anyone else remember Leland Pate's story about his security clearance interview for a government law enforcement job, and the investigator asking him to "Tell me about this world domination plot"

Internet isn't anonymous, even if you use an alias.
