Porsche Crest We're all criminals!

I was having a conversation with a friend yesterday when the topic of speed came up. She says that breaking the speed limit is a crime and anyone who does it deserves to be punished. So I asked if I were to go on a spirited drive through the twisties, am I automatically a criminal? she says "if you break the speed limit during that drive, then yes, you are endangering your life and the lives of others and you should be punished for it"

Apparently a lot of people feel this way... they're the people that drive the speed limit in the passing lane, refusing to let you by. Speed nazis.. where do they come from?

Isn't it the rule that it's only illegal if you get caught? But at the end of the day, I think everybody's sped once in their life. Some people need to be kicked off their high horse.

Then I'm headed for a federal penitentiary. I don't think my Turbo could behave long enough to crawl at 65 MHP. I have gone 100 MPH not realizing it in the flow of traffic and have never been caught.

I got pulled over once and all the cop did was drool all over my car...No Problem..

I would take that her for a ride on California Speedway and show the ho what speed is fo!

Ha!

Wonder if she also pays all her taxes, including sales tax (if you live in a state that imposes it) on stuff she purchases over the internet from out-of-state. Another crime that probably even more people overlook than speeding.

there are things that are immoral, and things that are illegal. sometimes they are the same. but not always. i feel that speeding in no way makes me a sinner.

then there are those scams that are just a way for the government to collect revenue from it's citizens. most tickets in my life fall into this category.

I have zero respect for speed enforcement and all the respect in the world for safe, defensive driving. I also view most local, state and fed. governments as the real criminals and I only pay them to stay out of jail.

tell your friend that I at least have insurance,
unlike the guy next to her in his 68 impala,
Porsche drivers are considered safer than most drivers, (suprised me Ins. Co. info)
have some fun..ask her her weight..prove it Lis..they never match..(false info. given)
she 5.4 110 lbs..yeah right..that was in kindergarten.

she/he ..has their cranium way up the rectum..

Lying about your weight is not criminal unless under oath.

It's funny that she assumes that if someone crashes while doing their makeup, nails, and text messaging, then speed is to blame.. obviously if they werent going so fast, they wouldnt have crashed while not paying attention to the road..

i agree with her on that, but only because i think the top speed for people like that is sitting still somewhere far away from a steering wheel.. speed doesnt kill, stupid drivers kill

oh yeah, and early 911 turbos also kill :P

Drive as conditions allow. (get around the slow moving SOB'S). If you get caught, leave your hands on the wheel, respond with mam's and sirs, and continue the drive. 90 in a 75 resulted in a small ticket. Just about attitude.

Byron, LOVE the ladies the outfit, not sure about the spanking :>)

If a tree falls in the forest, does anyone hear it?
(Byron, I’d hit it like a bum on a ham sandwich )
