One of the world's fastest supercars. Very rare and extremely fun to own. This one is DOT and California approved. Spa silver. 4000 miles and driven regularly. 237MPH and 0-60 under 4 seconds. Been shown at Palo Alto Concours and soon the MarinSonoma Concours. Im looking for a nice Ferrari 550 or Maserati grantourismo as partial trade. $275,000 b/o

John

Beautiful, but didn't people try to get there deposits back because Jaguar changed the spec of the engine?

Looks like a lozenge.

Lots of cheapish bits and pieces in side.

Then to add insult to injury a V6!

I saw an 8,000km example sell for $120K 4 years ago.

Not a good investment.

I seem to remember that. If I recall correctly Jag did say it was going to have a V-12 but they ended up putting a V6 twin turbo in the back. It was actually the same engine that the MG Metro 6R4 rally car had and was a pretty potent bit of kit. Still, not a V-12 though.

The other rumor was that they came with a CD autochanger - 6 disc or whatever. The problem with that was it was built into the car so you had to chose the CD's before the car was built and you couldn't change them after that. I don't know if that's true or not but it's a good story!

No, really. This car went into same way as AM Lagonda and Vector something...a bad "also-run" ...

For that kind of scratch, there is a long and distinguished line of cars I'd buy before that one.

Steady on a bit. That was actually a purpose designed racing engine by Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) who were the driving force behind Jaguars sportscar racing program at the time. It's actually an incredible little engine and the later rallycross versions were producing well over 600bhp.

However, if I were to have a car with that engine in it I think I'd like the one it was originally designed for...

Even in the rally configuration, 500 bhp in a four wheel drive car thats smaller than the new Mini would be a scream.

THAT car was designed by Williams Grand Prix Engineering.

Brilliant!

I love the way the British flog their cars through the countryside on these rallies.

The only way a XJ220 would do 237 is if it was towed behind a Veyron
