So how bad is getting a vasectomy?

Educate me before it is too late!

IF you do what you're told and use ice and take it easy for a day or two, no pain whatsoever, or very little that Advil can't knock out. Had mine 20 years ago.

No big deal.

Did it over 20 years ago. Best move I ever made. The freedom of no birth control and not having to worry about having another baby was very liberating for my wife and I ;)

Was uncomfortable for a few days, but other than that it was OK. Just make sure you aren't going to change your mind!

Linked to increased risk of dementia, forms of Alzheimer's.

Got it seven years ago. Now have more fun from that time....
Just sit down on ice for a couple of days....I used a sport holding device...like
a string...Lolllllllllllllllll...but very useful to prevent the package to bounce around for the three first weeks.....

The worst part was actually the initial needle stick in the nuts, for the anesthetic! Doctor told me give in a few minutes to take effect. He went to make the initial incision, guess what..... it didnt kick in enough. OOUUUCCHHH! I almost hit the ceiling! I needed another shot.
I did the scalpel free procedure. They make a small slit, pull the pluming out , snip and cauterize it. Then 2 small stitches. I walked around with a bag of frozen peas on my nuts for 2 days.:D

It all depends on whether its is voluntary, or Loreena Bobbit style......

My two friends said they were sore for 2 days and then done.

vmisquez 04-30-2009 03:13 PM

Ahhh that's gonna hurt like hell!!!! Just kidding. Just try not to get too much shrikage as the nurse helps the doctor along. That should be your only concern.
They used bolt cutters to fix my junk but then I am FLAVA-FLAV

STAY UP PLAYER !!!!!

Aurel 04-30-2009 03:15 PM

It all depends on the method used...

This mirrors my experience. Except the doc asked if some interns could watch so I had an audience . . .

So when you get one of these does your volcano still blast magma into the air(or wherever...) when you erupt?

To me making a mess with my soldiers is a big chunk of the fun. :)

When I got mine the nurse said she needed a "sample" a few weeks later to make sure there were no guys getting through. I said OK and she proceeded to give me a really, really great blowjob. When she was done, I was leaving and there were three guys in the adjacent room looking at Playboys and wacking off. I turned to the nurse and said "WTF?" and she said "Oh, they only have HMO's you have better insurance".

The liquid Valium was the best part. About 4-5 drops in the I.V. and I didn't care who finished shaving me.... Even though I was stoned out of my mind, and awake, I didn't seem to care....I tried to buy the rest of the I.V. sorry, no going home with the Valium. B**tards.

Sorry not to sugar coat it, but for the first 24 hrs., nothing worked except the couch and ice and lack of movement. Even the neighbors "herb" only dulled the pain. Canadian Club helped, so did Crown, as did prayer as I remember. (23 years ago).

Good news! After a couple of days I actually felt pretty good but was somewhat concerned about the operation of the equipment due to the colors they had assumed.

Three days later I felt "well" enough to give it a try (God Bless my wife). The plumbing was just fine.

The "sample" was another story. I thought a condom would provide perfect packaging, the nurse thought otherwise. I just couldn't go back in for another check with my insurance..........

Seems to have worked though....

LOL

Too funny.

Fishman, 24 hrs before going in, take a framing nail and stab the sack a few times to get you ready for the needle!
With good drugs and drama…you can play the sympathy card for about 36/hrs after the procedure at home :D YMMV!

Hugh, that was great!!
