A 996 chassis with a Toyota engine hung in there somehow? Looks more like a front drive Toyota with some stretched and/or trimmed 996 bodywork grafted onto it.

I can't imagine how they did it(??). Someone went to a hell of a lot of work to make a unique POS. Or of course it could be 5 minutes worth of pro-level photo-chop. :)

Ah c'mon!! I wanted it.

Too late for that truck, sold my car. Plus I'm getting a much newer Superduty with the proceeds. I'll post details later.

I honestly wanted that car. I already have one as my daily driver and would've used yours as my track car.

Congrats to both of you. Hell of a deal for the buyer, imo.

Denis, thanks for taking good care of my friend today.

Wayne, that is a gorgeous car!

to slab sided the 997 looks much nicer

450knotOffice 05-11-2009 12:19 AM

Well, yes. The 997 is better looking than the 996, just as your '78 SC is arguably better looking than the original SWB, narrow body 911 of 1966 (which is even more slab sided than a 996, btw)
