I would. I would call myself Officer Sex. I'd pull chicks over and then pull it out. That would be cool.

a friend has a "blues mobile" type dodge. he loves it. but be careful. cops treat their vehicles like crap. run hard and put away wet. fast food wrappers rotting under the seat, and a decade of drunks vomiting in the back seat.

Not all had light bars and spotlights, but the ones that did, had large holes crudely bored into the roof and A pillars. Then there are the additional holes for wiring though the firewall/dash. Check under the carpets for dampness and rust.

Hell, I'd install a pair of black painted spotlights & enjoy watching the traffic get out of my way...the traffic that uses their mirrors, anyway...

After college I had a Ford Bronco that was ex-Pennsylvania state patrol, glovebox was full of pens with this"speeding gets you nowhere fast" slogan. Was fine for a while, very fast for a SUV.
After about six months I had some suspension problems and the overdrive stopped working. I took it to Ford to have it repaired and was presented with a bill for all of the "cop parts" that were shot. That bill was more then double the cost of the car, and that was just the tip of the iceberg. Of course that led me into another tragedy of car they had on the lot, a nice 93' SHO that burned to the ground a few weeks later.

I knew a guy that bought a former Florida Trooper Mustang 5.0 and used it as a track-a/x car.
Drove the hell out of it and it was cheap. |

Are you planning on starting a taxi service? Otherwise, I would avoid these like the plague.

I road test CHP and local police cars occasionally. Funny to see all them brake lights come on. Never seen so many polite folks moving over to the right. They don't see the "Out of Service" sign until I'm beside them.

I had one in the early 80's. It was an old black and white Plymouth Fury. I drove the crap out of it for four years until the pinion gear broke.

Based on the current original quality of the product, the "regular" maintenance they receive, the price, and miles (71,000 stop & go)......NO WAY! Have them drop 5k off the price, and then "drive it like you stole it". I've witnessed the service, not nearly often enough for the abuse they receive.
